Title - 'Live From Mohegan Sun' (Eagle Rock)
Artist - Staind
Recorded at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut on November 25, 2011, this concert captures a typically raw and energetic performance by Staind on the tour in support of their eponymous album released in September last year, their first tour to feature new drummer Sal Giancarelli.
The album kicks off with 'Eyes Wide Open' from their latest self-titled album released late last year, before heading into 'Falling' ("You In your shell, Are you waiting for someone to rescue you, From yourself, Don't be disappointed when no one comes") and then 'Right Here,' the first single from Staind's fifth album Chapter V (2005).
Up next is another new track 'Throw It All Away,' before the alternative metal band head into 'Spleen,' 'Fade' and 'Failing.' 'So Far Away, the second single from their fourth album 14 Shades of Grey (2003) is next, and is backed by 'Crawl,' 'For You' (off the brilliant Break The Cycle album of 2001), and then both 'Paper Wings' and also-from-BTC, 'Outside.'
The album comes to a euphoric close with new track 'Not Again,' before their uber chart hit 'It's Been Awhile' (lead single from BTC), 'Mudshovel,' and then finally another new track in 'Something To Remind You.'
