Title - 'Live In Williamsburg'
Artist - Shuggie Otis

Well, for those not in the know, Shuggie Otis (born Johnny Alexander Veliotes, Jr. in 1953) is an American singer-songwriter, recording artist, and multi-instrumentalist.

Indeed, Otis' composition, 'Strawberry Letter 23' (as recorded by The Brothers Johnson) topped the Billboard R&B chart and reached #5 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1977. He also achieved commercial success with his 1974 single, 'Inspiration Information' (from the album of the same name), reaching #56 on the R&B chart.

Live In Williamsburg is the first EVER live album from the great R&B / Blues guitar legend Shuggie Otis, recorded just last year at The Music Hall Of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York on Shuggie's extremely well-received comeback tour!

The set-list (recreated below) reads like a greatest hits overview of Shuggie's brilliant songwriting cannon, including the aforementioned classic 'Strawberry Letter 23,' one of the most sampled tracks in modern music history, as well as the also aforementioned, 'Inspiration Information,' 'Sparkle City - Miss Pretty,' and oh so many more!

With the emergence of rare groove and acid jazz back in the day, his latter album, Inspiration Information was actually once lauded by such musicians as Prince and Lenny Kravitz.

Here live tonight, Otis (guitar/vocals), his sons Eric Otis (guitar) and Nick Otis (drums), James Manning (bass), Russ Stewart (keyboards), and a couple of horn players who double on several horns take Williamsburg, PA by storm. Otis called this the Never Ending Tour and with music as brilliant as this, still today, you actually begin to hope that the CD will never turn off!
