Title - 'Now 42: That's What I Call Music' (EMI)
Artist - Various

I just love this series of CDs. Originating from the UK, who are still a few numbers/editions ahead of the US, this new 2012 collection is the 42nd installment in the American version of this popular series.

Focusing only on the best recent chart hits, whilst including four up-and-coming acts as bonus songs, this new edition kicks off with Kelly Clarkson's foot stomper 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' (#1), before heading into Flo Rida's massive dancefloor smash 'Good Feeling' (#3) and then Karmin's 'Brokenhearted' (#32). Then comes One Direction's infectious 'What Makes You Beautiful' (#4), which is backed by both 'Turn Me On (Feat. Nicki Minaj)' (#4) from dance DJ guru David Guetta and 'Feel So Close' (#12) from Calvin Harris.

Up next is 'Turn Up The Music' (#10) from Chris Brown, with the wonderful 'We Run The Night (Feat. Pitbull)' (#91) by Havana Brown and then LMFAO's infectious 'Sorry For Party Rocking' (#49). 'Give Me All Your Luvin' (Feat. Nicki Minaj And M.I.A.)' (#10) by Madonna is next, with 'Get Yourself Back Home (Feat. Neon Hitch)' (#12) from Gym Class Heroes following close behind. Bruno Mars' dark 'It Will Rain' (#3) is then followed by Gotye's monster radio hit 'Somebody That I Used To Know (Feat. Kimbra)' (#1).

Train's pop-friendly 'Drive By' (#11) is then backed by 'Springsteen' (#23) from Eric Church, with Taylor Swift's 'Ours' (#13 + #1 Country) thereafter. The four up-and-coming acts bonus songs are: Zach Heckendorf with 'All The Right Places,' Graffiti6 with 'Free,' Jadagrace with 'Run Dat Back,' and finally Labrinth with 'Earthquake (Feat. Busta Rhymes).'
