Title - 'Worlds On Hold'
Artist - Prog Collective

For those not in the know, the prog rock supergroup spearheaded by much heralded producer/musician Billy Sherwood returns with a timely and magnificent new studio album.

Entitled Worlds On Hold (out now via Purple Pyramid/Cleopatra Records), it features a star-studded cast with Todd Rundgren, former Queensrÿche vocalist Geoff Tate, Focus's Jan Akkerman, Ayreon mastermind Arjen Anthony Lucassen, The Flower Kings' Roine Stolt as well as Derek Sherinian, Steve Hillage, Joe Lynn Turner and so many more.

This is the first release under The Prog Collective moniker since 2013's epic Epilogue and the album is split between new compositions and spectacular versions of familiar classics such as Peter Gabriel's 'Solsbury Hill,' Alan Parson's Project's 'Eye In The Sky 'and more.

1. 'Worlds On Hold' (feat. Todd Rundgren & L. Shankar)
2. 'Two Trajectories' (feat. Geoff Tate & Ron Bumblefoot Thal)
3. 'Anything But Goodbye' (feat. Jon Davison & Patrick Moraz)
4. 'Meant To Be' (feat. Jan Akkerman & Billy Sherwood)
5. 'Brave New World' (feat. Sonja Kristina & Steve Hillage)
6. 'Glory Days Ahead' (feat. Arjen Anthony Lucassen & Steve Hackett)
7. 'Solsbury Hill' (feat. Roine Stolt & Billy Sherwood)
8. 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' (feat. Graham Bonnet & Derek Sherinian)
9. 'Eye In The Sky' (feat. Joe Lynn Turner & Martin Barre)
10. 'Nights In White Satin' (feat. David Clayton-Thomas & Geoff Downes)
11. 'Penny Lane' (feat. John Wetton)
12. 'More Than A Feeling' (feat. Alan White, Tony Kaye & Billy Sherwood)
13. 'People Are Strange' (feat. David Johansen)

This quite brilliant new album kicks things off in fine style with the building, orchestrally sweepingly 'Worlds On Hold' (feat. Todd Rundgren & L. Shankar) and backs that up with the melodic pacing of 'Two Trajectories' (feat. Geoff Tate & Ron Bumblefoot Thal), the Yes-esque 'Anything But Goodbye' (feat. Jon Davison & Patrick Moraz), and then we get then the harder rock edge of 'Meant To Be' (feat. Jan Akkerman & Billy Sherwood) and the free flowing keys and Renaissance vibe of 'Brave New World' (feat. Sonja Kristina & Steve Hillage).

Next up is the beautiful thematic storytelling of 'Glory Days Ahead' (feat. Arjen Anthony Lucassen & Steve Hackett) and that's followed by a quite stunning rendition of Peter Gabriel's 'Solsbury Hill' (feat. Roine Stolt & Billy Sherwood), Procol Harum's reputable 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' (feat. the unmistakable vocals of Graham Bonnet & Derek Sherinian), and then we get the mid-tempo, APP ballad 'Eye In The Sky' (feat. Joe Lynn Turner & Martin Barre), and then the Moody Blues' 'Nights In White Satin' (feat. David Clayton-Thomas & Geoff Downes).

With the CD including 3 previously-released bonus tracks of Billy Sherwood produced cover versions, such as an interesting take on the Beatles' 'Penny Lane' (feat. John Wetton), Boston's rousing 'More Than A Feeling' (feat. Alan White, Tony Kaye & Billy Sherwood), and then closes out on The Doors' classic 'People Are Strange' (feat. David Johansen), I can honestly say that everything about this new recording is simply wondrous and that it fully deserves a wide, global audience (especially as our own world is, of course, currently on hold also!

Worlds On Hold is available as a CD and as a special limited edition GREEN vinyl!
