Title - ‘Atomic Kitten’ (Virgin)
Artist - Atomic Kitten
In a music world that has been flooded with rap and hip-hop, Atomic Kitten are a very nice change of pace to say the least. Good old-fashioned pop mixed with some highly sophisticated R&B! The Americas are the last places on earth where AK have not garnered success. That, I believe, is going to change over the next year. With music this infectious and sung by 3 beautiful young woman (who CAN sing), I find it hard to believe that AK won't find success in North America. Canada, however, will not be their biggest obstacle. It's Canada's neighbor to the south, a 'little' nation called the United States that is AK's largest challenge. Yet, doesn't this go for everyone?? Over the next year, you'll be hearing songs like 'The Tide is High' 'Eternal Flame' 'It's OK' 'Whole Again' and 'Love Doesn't Have to Hurt.' All catchy and most definitely hit worthy. Radio, however, may not think the same. So, if you're looking to take a break from hip-hop and rap (even for just a little while) and escape to something lighter and brighter, AK is a fantastic choice!
