Title - 'Magic Window'
Artist - Doug 'Cosmo' Clifford

For those not in the know, Creedence Clearwater Revival drummer Doug “Cosmo” Clifford will be releasing a previously-unreleased solo album he recorded back in 1985 entitled Magic Window.

After the group disbanded in late 1972, Clifford released a solo album and later joined CCR bassist Stu Cook in the Don Harrison Band. In 1995, Clifford and Cook formed the band Creedence Clearwater Revisited, performing live versions of Creedence Clearwater Revival songs.

Interestingly, this still vibrant 10-track collection, due out on April 24th, 2020, was recorded the very same year fellow CCR member John Fogerty released Centerfield.

1. 'Magic Window'
2. 'Born On The South Side'
3. 'Don't Leave Me Alone Tonight'
4. 'Somebody Love Me Tonight'
5. 'Hungry For Your Love'
6. 'Just Another Man'
7. 'Love Mode'
8. 'Fallin' For You'
9. 'Don't Let Go'
10. 'You Mean So Much To Me'

Allowing us to hear, for the very first time, Clifford's vocal abilities (which aren't half bad, in truth), the album kicks off with the '80s rock of the title track, 'Magic Window,' which he backs up with a vibe more attributed to a countrified CCR, 'Born On The South Side.'

The melodic love song 'Don’t Leave Me Alone Tonight' is next and is followed by two more distinctively '80s tracks, 'Somebody Love Me Tonight' and 'Hungry For Your Love.'

It's been said that Clifford wrote these ten mid-'80s songs at his piano at his Lake Tahoe, Nevada home, where he had an analog studio with, as he himself puts it, "a good tape deck."

Next up is a song that highlights Clifford's vocal work, another melodic powerful ballad in the form of 'Just Another Girl,' which he backs with the rockier driving rhythm of 'Love Mode.'

'Fallin’ For You' is a light, fun number, and then the album rounds out with the upbeat 'Don’t Let Go,' and then comes to a close with another love song, this time 'You Mean So Much To Me.'
