9. 'Back to You'
10. 'Moonlight'
11. 'Amanda'
12. 'Same Old Thing'
The opening track, the anthemic lead single 'Bridges' (“Let’s burn the bridges down. Light ‘em up. Don’t turn it around. No escape through the ashes now”) is a wondrous showcasing for what is to come here, with every track as powerful, as cultured, as skillfully crafted as the next.
The romantically lush ebb and flow of their second single 'Souvenir' is followed by both the ethereal lo-fi vibe of the ballad 'Long Gone' and the melodic ballad 'Lost In Translation.'
One of the stand out tracks here is the strong 'The Last Time' (featuring the richly-voiced icon Michael McDonald) and that's backed by the reaching mid-tempo groove ballad 'Say What You Will.'
Another lo-fi balled is up next in the form of the countryfied 'Flowers' and that's followed by the strongly guitar-led 'Marietta' and then the free flowing beauty of 'Back To You.'
This quite breathtakingly fresh new album then brings us the, for my money, best track on the album, the atmospheric Americana-folk of the title track, 'Moonlight.'
The acoustic guitar vocal of 'Amanda' (which serves as a tender letter from husband to wife) is a welcomed delight and then the album rounds out with the hauntingly breathtaking 'Same Old Thing.'
“You can listen to a record and walk away feeling like your spirit is nourished,” Amanda has said. “That’s what I want. I hope it marks a time for you and your family, where you can associate these songs with those special moments.”
