Title - 'Wisdom Teeth' [EP]
Artist - Jealous of the Birds

Listening to the just-released Wisdom Teeth EP from Northern Ireland's Naomi Hamilton aka Jealous of the Birds it's easy to understand why many have started to term her music as truly expressive art.

Incorporating genres of music that range from the mid-'90s indie scene to the more quietly bombastic elements found within unyielding hours of basement dedication to the art form, it's no surprise to learn that Hamilton studied English and creative writing at Queens University, Belfast.

Her love for the English language, for the way words can craft emotions and cause great affect within us all is a joy to behold here on this new EP.

The first track is the free flowing storytelling of 'Marrow' which is backed the beautiful, atmospheric city reveal of 'New York Has A Lump In Her Throat.'

Incorporating spoken word, of which it might take several listens to really cotton fully on to the full gist of Hamilton's fast-paced thoughts, the song is alive from the very start.

The lush ballad 'Kosiskelu' is yet another prime example of just how good, how lyrically superb Hamilton truly is and that's backed by the completely out-of-nowhere early-'90s alternative, slap bass, Breeders-esque pop blast of 'Blue Eyes.'

The EP rounds out with the silky smooth ballad 'Clemintina,' a cut that simply oozes out of the speakers and slowly, but surely creeps so unnoticeably under your skin that you will still be humming it come the end of the day.
