The just released Better Together (April 6th, 2018, via Turneround Music) is the brand new studio album by one of the original founder members of Wishbone Ash, David "Ted" Turner and his wife Majella.

As I'm sure most all of you already know, Ted Turner is an English guitarist and vocalist best known for his work with the aforementioned 1970's rock band Wishbone Ash.

It was here that he became famous for his twin lead guitar instrumental arrangements with Andy Powell. Turner also contributed lap steel guitar to a variety of Wishbone Ash recordings.

And as for the aforementioned Wishbone Ash, they are a British rock band who achieved success in the early and mid-1970s. Indeed, their contributions helped Andy Powell and Ted Turner to be voted "Two of the Ten Most Important Guitarists in Rock History."

Here on their first artistic collaboration, the Better Together album has prompted their international fan base to welcome their creation as the birth of a new musical genre: "New Age Soul".

With a playbook of 12 original songs inspired by their thirteen-year journey as first friends, then lovers, and, more recently, husband and wife collaborators, Better Together is a hauntingly lyrical, soul-touching testament to their journey.

A journey from getting to know one another to discovering their true selves through music, which, they say, "has been the glue that brought and has held them together throughout".

Indeed, the first song, the title track, 'Better Together' lyrically describes Turner's first meeting with his wife and musical partner. Whereas one of my own personal favorites on the album, 'Karmony', is a storytelling experience galvanized by the legacy of John Lennon; who was a strong influence in the couple's life.

"Each song is a celebration of our unique chemistry, our spiritual beliefs, our love for humanity and for nature, and most of all our life calling together," Majella herself says. "Every song on the album is to acknowledge and remind people of the unquestionable truth of who we are, why we are here, and that there is something bigger than all of us."
