Title - 'Pearls'
Artist - Bonfire

After the successful release of 2015’s Glörious, Bavarian hard rock legends BONFIRE are proving they still have a great future to come. Given that this very year, 2016 marks the bands 30th year on stage, you just knew that whatever they were going to release next was going to be epic!

And trust me, it is! To celebrate those 30 years of rock and metal, BONFIRE have just released a new best of double album, Pearls, out now via UDR Music. Indeed, this actually also marks the band’s very first double album since their formation in 1986.

Bonfire (originally Cacumen), were founded in Ingolstadt, Germany in 1972 by Hans Ziller. Bonfire started 1986 from Cacumen where the members just changed the name into Bonfire because of the advice of the Record Company and the Management. The original founder Hans Ziller is still in Bonfire and is the only one who has the rights on the name Bonfire.

Throughout their career, BONFIRE have performed over 1,500 concerts worldwide with artists such as Whitesnake, Judas Priest and ZZ Top. As aforementioned, the eternal burning flame – BONFIRE founder, composer, guitarist and mastermind Hans Ziller – now brings his bandmates David Reece (vocals, ex- Accept), Frank Pané (lead guitar), Ronnie Parkes (bass and vocals) and Tim Breideband (drums) into the next phase.

Having released 14 studio albums beforehand - which all began back in 1986 with Don't Touch the Light - and six live albums - the first being 1993's Live...The Best, six compilation albums - from 1997's Hot & Slow onward, one Box-Set (2004's The Early Days), and seven singles (which began back in 1989 with 'Sword and Stone' - BONFIRE now bring us the quite stunning, and aptly named Pearls.

CD 1: BONFIRE “Rock Pearls”:
1. 'Strike Back'
2. 'Under Blue Skies'
3. 'Diamonds In The Rough'
4. 'Proud Of My Country'
5. 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Cover Track)
6. 'Don’t Go Changing Me'
7. 'Sweet Obsession'
8. 'American Nights'
9. 'Good Time Rock ‘n’ Roll'
10. 'Heat In The Glow'
11. 'Can´t Stop Rocking'
12. 'Down To Atlanta'
13. 'Loaded Gun' (Cover Track)

CD 2: BONFIRE “Classic Pearls” (with the Italian Symphony-Ensemble):
1. 'You Make Me Feel'
2. 'Give It A Try'
3. 'Who’s Foolin’ Who'
4. 'I Need You'
5. 'Good Night Amanda'
6. 'Southern Winds'
7. 'If It Wasn’t For You'
8. 'Why Is It Never Enough'
9. 'Let´s Fly Away'

Pearls is a double CD album that features selections spanning BONFIRE’s 14 previous studio and those 6 live releases all lovingly brought together to make one complete set of newly-recorded crunching classics along with one set of favorites performed with an orchestra. And not just any orchestra, no. It was the highly-impressive, world-renowned Italian Symphony-Ensemble, at that.

Listening to each and every one of these tracks, cuts that hanker you back to their old school days embedded alongside cuts from their high profile moments that still sound vibrant, chart worthy today, Pearls resoundingly reintroduces the rock world to a band who have always delivered the perfect mixture of hard, heavy and melodic rock. This classic musical German giants may well not be the same band as they were back when they started, but here and now, recreating all their hits, they sound as impressive, as warranted among us as they ever did.
