Title - 'Ultimate Sinatra'
Artist - Frank Sinatra

The defining voice of the 20th century, Frank Sinatra enjoyed a legendary recording career that spanned six decades, beginning with his earliest session in 1939 and culminating with his last in 1993, for his world-renowned, multi-platinum Duets and Duets II albums.

To commemorate Sinatra's centennial year, career-spanning collections of the entertainment icon’s timeless music have been compiled for worldwide CD and digital release on April 21 by Capitol/UMe.

Centennial Collections, Ultimate Sinatra! is available in 25-track CD, 26-track digital, 24-track 180-gram 2LP, and deluxe, 101-track 4CD and digital editions, Ultimate Sinatra presents key recordings spanning the Chairman of the Board’s recordings for Columbia, Capitol and Reprise, together for the first time.

Both CD and digital editions also feature previously unreleased Sinatra recordings. Ultimate Sinatra’s CD, deluxe 4CD, 2LP Vinyl and standard digital editions are available for preorder from Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play.

Reviewing the beautiful 24-track 180-gram 2LP set, it features over a dozen of Ol' Blue Eyes' hits from his heyday at Capitol records. You can simply never go wrong with great standards like "Come Fly With Me", "All The Way", "Witchcraft" and "Young at Heart," to name but a few. Also containing other lesser mortal tunes as both "Learnin' The Blues" and "Love and Marriage," it's obvious listening to his music that he was simply one of the coolest guys in the world.

Sure there are so many great Sinatra albums that it's really impossible to create one "ultimate" one, but this double vinyl album (for us old school audiophiles) is a great introduction to his work. In truth, anyone who likes Sinatra's music will get enjoyment from this album, but they should also dig a lot deeper into his catalog where there can be fond hidden gem albums of tracks that just didn't make the charts, and such.

All of Ultimate Sinatra’s configurations open with 'All Or Nothing At All,' recorded with Harry James and his Orchestra on August 31, 1939 during Sinatra’s first studio session. With that star-making session, Sinatra embarked on a three-year run of nearly 100 big band recordings with the Harry James and Tommy Dorsey Orchestras, followed by more than 50 years of sessions for Columbia (1943-1952), Capitol (1953-1962; 1993-1994), and his own Reprise label (1960-1988).
