Title - 'The Studio Recordings Anthology'
Artist - John Wetton

As a singer, bassist and songwriter, John Wetton initially rose to fame as the lead singer of King Crimson and thereafter Wetton formed UK with Eddie Jobson and later he was the lead singer for the supergroup Asia, his biggest commercial success. On The Studio Recordings Anthology, Wetton fully focuses on his more pop-oriented output from 1980 and onwards. These songs are NOT prog, by any stretch of the imagination so all fans of his Asia music will love the 32 tracks contained on this 2CD collection.

As these songs instantly reveal, Wetton has also had a very successful solo career, releasing a large number of studio and live albums and these are showcased here on The Studio Recordings Anthology. His voice is still top notch here and his way with words, his lyrics is clearly nothing short of amazing. This incredible selection of his songs spans his entire solo career, pretty much, and just goes to prove why Wetton has had such a long career as an in-demand session bass player. Indeed, he has collaborated with many members of progressive rock bands such as Yes and even Genesis throughout his career, and that ain't the half of it, trust me!
