Title - 'Music From The Muppets'
Artist - London Music Works

To say that I'm a fan of The Muppets, in general, is putting it mildly! Ever since, well, maybe not their creation date of 1955, but soon thereafter, I have been a devoted follower of Jim Henson's absurdist, burlesque and self-referential characters; all brought together in a grand, slap-stick style of variety-sketch comedy.

All these years later and they are still the namesake for the Disney media franchise that encompasses films, television series, music recordings, print publications, and other media associated with The Muppet Show characters.

Which leads me very nicely to this brand new CD that landed in my lap for review: London Music Works Perform Music From The Muppets. Oh boy, now we're talking, folks. Celebrating 40 years of magnificent, marvelous Muppet music from TV and film with new recordings from the aforementioned London Music Works, this 15 track collection gathers up songs and themes from the show's TV debut in 1976 all the way through to 2014's cinema release Muppets.

The true highlights on this masterful musical soundtrack include, of course, 'Theme' (from 'The Muppet Show'), 'Bein' Green' (again from 'The Muppet Show'), the iconic 'Mahna Mahna' (from 'The Muppet Show'), 'One More Sleep 'Til Christmas' (from 'The Muppets Christmas Carol'), 'Life's A Happy Song' (from 'The Muppets'), and both 'We're Doing A Sequel' (from 'Muppet's Most Wanted') and the Oscar nominated 'The Rainbow Connection' from their 1979 film debut, 'The Muppet Movie.'
